A little about me...
my roots are Texan, my training international, but my heart resides here in the Pacific Northwest. I love Portland for its beauty and its liberal, relaxed and contemporary attitude.
I began my love affair with color, texture and structure learning to sew from my mother and afternoons spent after school at my father's architecture studio. That and an education in Art History propelled me to find a career in design.
what I bring to being a hair stylist: contemporary attitude, international flair and open mindedness. I love what I do, especially collaborating with my clients to create hair styles and color they love and can recreate themselves. I believe in the power an amazing hairstyle has in a woman's life, and my mission is to help my clients achieve looks on their own that look just as fabulous 4 weeks after their visit as it does when they walk out of the salon.
I believe that education plays a key role in the technical and creative evolution of the hairstylist. I regularly attend classes focused on everything from basic technical skills to artist inspiration to seminars on environmental sustainability. In addition to attending education, my passion for Davines and the beauty industry has inspired me to become a certified Davines multiSpace educator. I am also proud to announce my status as a Zero Impact Stylist. Davines has teamed up with LifeGate to allow stylists and salons the opportunity to neutralize their carbon emissions yearly.
